This is lovely, and I think it's fine- I don't even know the difference between soft shading and cell shading, I just don't know a lot about it
Thanks bunches exotic!
Well---soft shading is more...soft, and cell shading is more hard xD
want me to link you examples?
Sure, if you don't mind- I kinda got that much,
it's just if I was looking at a picture I wouldn't be able to say "It's soft shading" or "it's cell shading"
These two styles are actually really easy to identify actually.
Ok, I'll start with soft shading
Soft shading is more of a blended coloring type, where you mix the colors together and blend them (arghgh hard to explain)
Here are some examples:
And cell shading is more of a hard type of coloring. (not hard as in difficult, but like, its not as blended as soft)
Do you see the differences between the coloring?
ahhhh I see- I don't get it XD
no no I'm kidding, I think I get it now
the colours in soft shading are more blended together, and the contrasts between colours are more subtle
While cell shading is harder and not as blended, and the contrasts in colours are greater
I think my version of the explanation doesn't make sense, but I get it
this turned out great * Q *
This is so cute! >////<
Aw, I like his face >w< And the book XD Nice job Bon <3
Thank you psy TT_TT
I don't think I'll ever be trying this type of shading again--until i fully understand how to use it xD
1)this came out awesome
and 2) please tell me cuz I have no idea how, how do you make the background transparent/nonexistent?
1) Thank you xD
Well, what I usually do, since my SAI isn't legit, and it won't save as transparent, I save it as
'.PSD' (aka photoshop file) then I open up the file in photoshop, and save it as '.PNG' and it automatically makes all the 'white' parts of the image transparent
Hope I helped xD
aww to cute bon <333
